Because the titles of their albums included the words "cowboy", "disco", "new wave" and "axl rose", I always avoided these guys like the plague. But, their first album is actually some pretty excellent rowdy folk-punk.

That's pretty dang funny cause I was a bit repulsed by this too. IMO their other albums are pretty weak, but the little I've heard of this one grabbed me so hard that I had to try to hear more. Your blog today let me do that, and I very much appreciate that! Many thanks!!
